Students With Voices Summer Internship is a summer program designed for high school students who are interested in community engagement, public education advocacy, and leadership development.

Participants will join the Student’s With Voices team and select one of three specialized pathways:
- Research,
- Direct Action Organizing,
- or Social Media Campaign Management.
Each pathway is led by professionals in the field, giving students the opportunity to gain real-world experience while contributing to meaningful community-based work.
Throughout the internship, students will build skills in leadership, collaboration, communication, and project development. Whether researching key issues, organizing actions, or creating digital campaigns, interns will play an active role in advancing initiatives that impact public education and their communities.
By the end of the program, each participant will complete a final project within their pathway and present their work, gaining both practical experience and a strong portfolio piece.
Mandatory Dates & Commitment:
- Internship Launch: June 26 (In-person)
- CVPE Summit: June 27 (In-person)
- Kickoff Zoom: June 29 (Online)
- Weekly Commitment: ~1-hour Zoom meeting each week + 1–3 hours of independent/remote work
- Blockwalk for Public Education: July 12 & July 26
- Final In-Person Review & Presentations: August 7
Participants are expected to attend all required sessions and actively engage in their pathway work. This internship is designed for students who are committed to developing their leadership and making a meaningful impact in their communities.
Students who successfully complete the program will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and be eligible to receive a scholarship their senior year.
To receive the $100 stipend, participants must attend the June 27th CVPE conference and then participate in the full 6-week Internship at the end of the program.
